About

Sumer Varma is 9 years old and currently a class 4 student at The Shri Ram School.

He inherited the art gene from his mother, Jaya Asokan Varma, who studied art history & design and currently heads the India Art Fair, South Asia’s biggest art fair.

During Covid-19, when all parents were struggling to keep children occupied, Sumer and Mama started drawing together and boom – he caught the bug. Now drawing is everything to him – his means of enjoyment, relaxation and fun. But he’s equally fond of dancing, football, reading and like every kid his age loves playing video games! He’s also a good student and has an interest in science, math and loves quizzes.

Sumer Varma can often be spotted drawing on his father’s law chambers conference table and is a great portrait maker.
